The residence on Grambo is located in the Pirates' Coves subdivision, adjacent to the Galveston Country Club Golf Course. The renovation project commenced following damage to the ground floor of the structure in Hurricane Ike, and the owners' goals were to also alter the character of the existing beach house to reflect their tastes. The complete remodel of the house also included expansion of deck areas, a music production room, dining room/wetbar, and new entries. The dining room addition provides excellent views of the golf course and wetlands just south of the site. We provided site and schematic building design, as well as permitting on the project. With a Contractor in the family, the client/builder team tailored the design development and managed the construction.
