The Galveston Historical Foundation (GHF) purchased the historically eligible house at 2123 Ave M 1/2 under the CHDO program to provide low-to-moderate income housing. The project ,located in the San Jacinto neighborhood, involves both elevation design and repair.
Key work includes selective demolition and salvage, installing a new foundation, lifting and leveling the structure, and modifying floor plans for better functionality. Throughout the process, the goal was to repair and maintain historic building materials wherever possible.
