CENTRAL HOTEL LOFTS

RENOVATION + REHABILITATION
COMMERCIAL
COMPLETED 2019

While recognized for its ordinary and characteristic shape of the 1840’s and 1850’s, the Central Hotel building is the oldest wood frame structure remaining in downtown Galveston. The badly compromised building had been a mixed used property up until Hurricane Ike, when it’s ground floor was abandoned. Bought by a local builder in 2015, Easterwood Architects Studio provided Unit space planning, design documenting, facilitating permits, and construction consulting and direction. The Central Hotel houses ten rentals, with a wide range of updated unit types, all with highlighted, original historic elements.
